Park skis for first season...

Hi NS,
I am in the process of getting my Canadian working holiday visa for the upcoming season in Whistler and am looking to get a new ski set up for this season.
My stats:
Age: 18
Weight: around 160lbs/75kg
Height: 6ft 1
Ability strong all mountain skier mainly off piste etc. Skiing since I can remember
Current main skis Volkl Mantra 184 w/ Marker Griffons
Also cruising around on some 2012 ex-rental Line Blends (171 I think) w/ Marker Squires (horrible bindings I know!)
This holiday I have just nailed my first 3 off a windlip on the mountain and some other spots but am yet to dial it in the park. As I said above I am normally a strong all mountain skier and that is where I spend most of my time but have been wanting to learn park for a while for when the conditions don't match up to big mountain powder lines.
I have been bumming around on some Line Blends for a while and want to upgrade my park setup to some new skis with decent bindings (FKS 140 are in mind). I have seen a lot of love for the Line Chronic's and the ON3P Filthy Rich's. I have enjoyed the Blends being 100 underfoot as it gives a bit more of an all mountain feel but I have the Mantras for that so I'm not sure whether to go for a skinnier park ski or stay in the realm of the Blends.
What I am effectively asking is are FR's and Chronics a good place to start or is there somewhere else I should look like Armada or Volkl Walls? I am a very beginner in the park but consider myself a strong skier with CSIA level 2 and planning to teach on a season and use my free time to learn to shred the park.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and if you're one of the few people who will be in Whistler staff housing on a season next year drop me a line as I'll be rocking up all alone.
Cheers!

Also just looked at the ON3P Kartel 98's which have a bit more underfoot but I like the look and sound of the FR's anyone got any experience with both these and or the Lines?

go with the kartels, they are a good whistler every day ski, maybe even go something like 106. have fun, i wish i could go back for a season. dont worry about rocking up alone. heaps of people have done it, after the first day you wont regret a thing.

Awesome cheers thought the kartels looked pretty awesome.
Yeah not too worried about turning up alone just thought if the NS crowd were around its be cool to meet em.
Just need to save up and find somewhere to try the kartels. I love my Blends and they're knacked DonI think K106 may be good

Hey, in my opinion stiffer skis are way better for park, they are better on rails and allow you to go bigger. That being said soft skis are more playful and better for just a fun day in the park. I would suggest Armada AR7s they crush it everywhere in the park, they are a bit stiff, but still fun. Peace

Hey man I've also been riding the ar7s n those r always a good ski. Recently I bought a pair of afrosteezyack from 7 mile skis and I can honestly say those r the best skis I've riden. Fun to play with and fucken durable as hell. So check out 7 mile skis :-)

I would recommned you K2 Shreditor 92s. The 92 underfoot will still be wide for you but they are somewhat playful but mostly a camber. They have a small rocker and are super durable. Another ski would be Filthy Rich. I would probably recommend the FR's over the Kartel just because they are more park oriented than the Kartel and considering you have an all mountain ski, I don't think you need the Kartel. The FR's have a good amount of rocker but are actually on the skiff side of things but the rocker allows you to butter a little bit. The FR's are 88 underfoot which is still a bit wide for a park ski. Definetly check these two skis out.

FR's are the one I love the look of and the new top sheet is gorgeous. Need to whack some FKS on a pair and I'll be ready to go!!
