I have attempted to learn The Switch this season. I can comfortably switch lip on to most things. I always look over my right shoulder. I have tried to switch tail, but i am awful at skiing switch and looking over my left shoulder, any tips? Also If i normally spin left of jumps, should I normally spin left when im going switch too of jumps? K+ for thee helpful answerz.
I usually spin left but I spin right switch. So when I was learning switch 1's I learned them both ways. This helped for learning switch 3's because when I would try to spin right I could only get a 180 around due to it being unnatural. So by learning them both ways it helped learning switch. Just so a bunch of switch 1's and it will come fairly quick.
one does not simply learn the switch... you must first sleep on your belly and look over the shoulder you wanna ski switch over all night till it becomes a natural position.
the problem i usually have is wanting to spin way to early, which leads to catching an edge then death. so whenever taking off switch i always wait till its almost too late to pop then spin. also just practice looking over both shoulders, it will help a lot in the long run
i spin left naturally but im more comfortable riding switch looking over my my right shoulder but spinning switch to the left is still more natural for me. Im just gonna try to practice getting comfortable skiing switch looking over both my shoulders so spinning left feels better.
i slide rails right foot forward and spin left on normally, but I look over my right shoulder for switch so i just spin the 90 on unnaturally so then I'm set on the rail right foot foward
