So on Sunday night, the last night of spring break, I went with my friend to the skatepark to get his jacket he had forgotten there. This was my first mistake, entering a skatepark after not skating for like 5 or so years. Then I decided to borrow his board and try some stuff around the park, real easy stuff but I kinda suck at skating. So after about ten minutes, I rolled down a bank, and messed up big. I fell and slammed pretty hard, and instantly felt a horrible pain in my knee. I looked down, and through my jeans I could see that my knee cap was on the side of my leg almost, and knew I was screwed.
So an ambulance came, took me to the ER, where they popped it back into place (painful) and now I'm stuck with a knee Immobilizer brace, and crutches. This kinda sucks and I'm dissapointed in my skating ability.
So here I am now, typing this all out for no reason other than that I'm stuck on the couch and bored. And guess what, the snow is coming back to stevens, 4 feet supposedly this weekend, and I'm out for the season. Plus, I just got a call for a job interview for this week, and have had to delay it until I'm off crutches and able to walk around. Shitty.
Well,TLDR: dislocated knee cap trying to skateboard with friend at skatepark, wasn't even intending on skating at all that day, and now I'm crippled for a month or more. Lesson learned, don't be overconfident in a skatepark
