Best program for creating Ads.

I just got a job as a marketing director for a local company and a lot of my job is designing Ads. Most of our ads are paper flyers and ads for our website/instagram/facebook. What kind of program do you guys think would be best for this? I do know photoshop but I don't know if there is something better out there. Thanks guys!

With all due respect, if your job consists of designing ads and your not capable of doing so you shouldn't be doing that job.

Photoshop is gr8. If you know your way around it, it can work very well.

thanks duuude. Thats what the two guys before me used but I was told if I would like to use something else I could do that. So I was just seeing if there was anything else out there that I should try instead haha. Everyone I've talked to said photoshop would do the job but I wouldn't mind learning a new program and building off that if there is something better out there.

it sort of sounds like you haven't mastered photoshop yet which means that even if there was another program that may be better in some way you wouldn't be able to tell the difference/utilize the difference as you haven't reached your peak with photoshop yet.

inDesign's pretty good for layouts and multi page stuff, but honestly i'd just stick with photoshop. There's no need for learning anything new if you're scratching the surface of designing ads for 8.5/11 or instagram/facebook

have you heard of InDesign? I have an internship with my Athletic Communications department and it seems like every flyer or paper print out is used on this program. I am not too familiar with Photoshop but it seems just like a simpler version.

Illustrator is a great program to create logos/designs then implement them into indesign or photoshop.

If you're a marketing director (or any kind of creative professional) you probably need to learn your way around the adobe suite/cloud

Create vector graphics in Illustrator. Edit/Manipulate photos in Photoshop. Lay everything out in InDesign.

It may seem difficult to learn 3 different programs, but its a much more efficient workflow and you'll get way better results than using any 1 program by itself.

True. From what I've been told, in the past they've done everything with just photoshop which got the job done. I definitely wanna learn and try to do things better than that though.

That's actually what I think I'm looking to try to do. I've used photoshop in the past for classes and a past job so I'm pretty comfortable with it. I definitely wanna try what you explained though. I won't really get into ads until August/September so I think I'm gonna take the time now to learn how to use some of the stuff mentioned. Thanks man!
