Okay this really needs to stop

Let's see. It's January 5th, nearly the height of the east coast skiing season. This is the time when you would expect mountains to be packed with snow and them to have the solid 40-50 inch base we all love.

Instead, however, my home mountain closed today. That's right, Roundtop PA closed its slopes for the day. They said it was 'due to rain and foggy conditions that would cause for unsafe driving conditions' Bullshit. They've closed 3 slopes since saturday and undoubtedly more are on the way.

Oh yeah, Roundtop's two sister mountains, Liberty and Whitetail also closed early today at 5pm. This is getting outta fucking hand.

I hear all you guys on the east, my mountain is wintergreen VA and they will be closing soon due to the weather, which sucks, because i was just starting to make some progress.

yeh waterville has done a nice job, but seriously at this time last year all the mountains had almost every feature ready. This winter has been incredibly slow. I am def moving out to the west at some point.

I also ski at Roundtop. It's a sad day here in the east. And the weather isnt getting any better soon. Us east coasters suffer while you Westerners did yourselves out from under 9 feet of fresh snow. How unfair! :)

Is blue mtn any good for park and stuff? Its almost as far as 7 springs for me so i always just go there, but how is blue?
