hue.Don't really need to join a frat if you get involved with clubs like ski and board and other interests.. A lot cheaper than paying the fees for a frat.
Running rate for a trip to whis is about 15$ thru the ride share, which is pretty good. Can't guarentee any good skiing cause who knows what it will be like after the last two seasons we've had...
I'm at UBC now and it's pretty sweet
cool_nameI'm not gonna say you need to join, worth considering though, and nobody says you can't be in a frat and join clubs
SitI'm heading there on exchange from NZ - do you know if the student passes have to be purchased early or will they still be relatively cheap at the start of the season - I'm a student now and will be when I'm there, but won't have any Canadian student ID till I'm over there in late November/December. Also do you think it's worth investing in passes for the local mountains or just saving the money to get to Whis and back?
SitWhats housing like? I'm planning on living as cheaply as possible, where I'm from that means living as close to campus as possible but I assume thats not the case in Van! Would be keen to flat with students, preferably kinda close to campus, may even apply for on-campus living but think it's gonna be expensive and plan to save all my money to go ski/travel.
