MinggFuck drunk driving. Seriously it is so selfish. You aren't just endangering yourself or the people in your car, but everyone else on the road. It kills me to think about all the young kids and innocent people who get killed every year because of stuff like this. Please, call a cab or a friend to give you a ride. I promise the money it costs for a cab is worth it as opposed to risking your life and others lives. Please don't drink and drive.
pow_pow~my house is about a 35 min walk from the station or a 2 min drive through empty suburban streets (lots of hills) also i go past a police station
occasionally i will drive home quite drunk. actually not even drunk to the point of incapacitation, i can still walk straight but i would definitely be over the limit of .05. i never have anyone else in the car, i go pretty slow and im obviously not trying to show off to anyone.
as i said its back streets, rarely going over 25mph.
dont see any issue with it.
NigelSteinJustify it anyway you want, it's still an asshole thing to do.
pow_pow~tell me how?
Huck_NorrisGo fuck yourself asshole. If we have to explain it to you, it is a lost cause because you're a special flower with all the answers and who never makes mistakes.
I had 9 people I went to school with die in Drunk Driving accidents before we even graduated HS. One accident killed 2 friends and some poor mom and her fucking kids. One girl lost her bf and then killer her best friend a few years later drunk driving. Don't fucking act all coy like you're the fucking guy who's got it all figured out. You don't. It's only a matter of time.
pow_pow~you know how many people i pass on my 2 minute trip home? a grand total of zero. thats right, surprisingly at 3am in the suburbs no one is out driving.
i dont drive on main roads, just back roads, i would barely go over 20mph, i never have passengers. im not drunk, i would just be over the limit.
Huck_NorrisYou're assuming. What if somebody was walking home and you dozed off and fucking killed them?? Do they shit down the road for drunk assholes only at 11?
Don't fucking be that weak minded pussy and make that excuse for yourself, it's the worst and it shows you have no respect and you're a selfish cunt. There could EASILY be people on that road for any reason and at any time. Don't fucking be that loser, man. You won't get a chance to undo it once you fuck up. You can, however, just stop being a self-important piece of shit and make the right decision the first time FWIW.

pow_pow~well thats where i say you dont understand my area like i do, and im not going to fall asleep in two minutes, thats fucking retarded.
pow_pow~well thats where i say you dont understand my area like i do, and im not going to fall asleep in two minutes, thats fucking retarded.
Huck_NorrisNo what's retarded is you making the excuse as if there was a time when driving drunk doesn't make you a selfish, stupid piece of shit.
Obviously there is no rationalizing with you and you'll make whatever excuse is convenient for you at that time like a basic selfish cunt always will. The night my football buddy died and took our friend with him along with some mom and her kids- yeah they were really close to home too. It was no big deal at all apparently. Another carload of people was right behind them and watched it all go down. It was a 5 minute drive, tops. No big deal bro- until he crossed the yellow line and hit someone head on, that is.
pow_pow~you keep presenting all these situations that i will never, ever be in. passangers? nope. kids? nope. oncoming traffic? nope. high speeds? nope.
there are nights that ive spent in my car because i thought i had drunk too much and i didnt feel comfortable driving. there are other nights where ive made the decision and felt completely fine to drive, but probably wouldve been over the limit.
you are giving me shit for stupid decisions your friends have made. i have never questioned myself if i should drive or not. if i get to that stage i know the answer, its a no. and all the times i have driven, i would probably be under your legal limit. therefore not "drunk driving".
-benedettoBeing drunk hinders your ability to make the right decision. Not many more things are more annoying then when a drunk person swears they are good enough to drive when it is apparent how shit-housed they really are. When you decide to drive, you're endangering more than just yourself. Making you selfish. Why don't you just walk if it's so close?
You should start questioning yourself.

no_steezePeople don't respect driving at all. it's by far the most dangerous thing any of us do, not only to ourselves but everyone around us, yet we get drunk, text, or intentionally drive aggressively simply because it's more convenient. I probably drive too fast and I have sent texts while driving, since it's so easy to forget how dangerous it really is.
I live in a rural area and kids drive drunk all the time under the impression that nobody else will be out on the roads at 3am. Most of the time it's true, but why would it ever be worth taking that risk? I don't understand why it would make sense to compromise reaction time, decision making, and clarity while doing something where a minor lapse could lead to the deaths of many people
pow_pow~i completely agree, i see kids driving stupidly all the time, i also see a lot more older people that are worse.
i grew up racing karts and dirtbikes, and over the last 4 years rallying with my dad in a subie. ive been in numerous crashes and have flipped the car. i understand how dangerous unsafe driving can be.
by far the most hazardous age group on our roads are the elderly. i reckon i would still be a better driver than most of them after a bottle of vodka. some cant see over the wheel and have absolutely no spatial awareness and no clue what is going on around them. they are in their own little bubble.

DeebieSkeebieswhile he is busying justifying "having a few" and driving back home, we'll justify why he was a dope when the sheriffs scraping his body out of a mangle ball of steel.
DeebieSkeebiesdon't know why you guys are getting mad at this dude. let him get tanked and drive, just makes him more prone to natural selection, honestly. while he is busying justifying "having a few" and driving back home, we'll justify why he was a dope when the sheriffs scraping his body out of a mangle ball of steel.

pow_pow~yeah said numerous times that im not "tanked" when i drive, and that my driving is still under your legal limit.
Sketchy3sFirst, you are a scumbag piece off shit. All drunk drivers, I don't care what the excuse is, are stupid fucking assholes who shouldn't be ever allowed in a car or around other people. I have had 8 people in my family killed by you duck head drunk drivers, and in every single case no injuries have befallen the driver. And fuck you especially for thinking you're in the clear because you drive late nights on back roads. My cousin and her 6 month old son were killed at midnight on a back road by a drunk driver, who wasn't even injured. What the fuck is your problem. I could give less of a shit if your drunk and crash and die. The issue is that you are putting other people at risk besides your asshole self. It's not so fucking hard to A. Not get drunk B. Get ride home or stay C. Not be such a huge fucking dickbag and drive drunk.
Fuck you you worthless piece of shit.
MinggYeah, unless it's someone else's body.
pow_pow~8 people in your family killed by drunk drivers? im going to call you out on that one
DeebieSkeebiesI also find it strange he claims its just a few drinks or whatever when he is so confident in his abilities to drive home afterwards. you know how many drunks at bars think that same way, too? "oh im good, its just a few minutes away." now you're justifying your habits like an addict, which is kinda fucked up, but whatever floats your goat, dude.
DrailAll that being said though, I've definitely driven way way more often while mentally and physically exhausted to the point that is probably be a safer driver if I was drunk instead. There's no way to test it (or maybe there is?) but I'd say tiredness is just as, if not more dangerous than drunk driving.
pow_pow~are you retarded? if i have a few drinks at the pub over a couple of hours im not justifying anything like an addict. mate i can guarantee i am a better and safer driver than you, i have grown up around cars all my life. so dont talk down to me. i am happy with every single decision i made and would do it again without a second thought.
goes both ways. there are nights were ive driven, there are nights where ive decided not to drive, and i sleep perfectly fine at night with the decisions ive made.
Sketchy3sWhich is the whole fucking issue. "I thought I was good" or the "I'm a good driver and confident" are stupid excuses. I feel like I'm a pretty good driver. I'm not going to take a couple NyQuil and go drive cuz I think I'm a good fucking driver. You don't put other people at risk and you're are even more fucked up saying you sleep just fine with it.
pow_pow~i dont think im good, i know im a good driver. i have grown up racing. if i have an accident its not going to be my fault. im not a hot head on the roads, i get all of that out of my system on the track. i completely trust the choices that i make in regards to driving. just for you i will upload a video of my last rally stage, because i know you wont believe me. then you can stop commenting about my decisions.
Sketchy3sSo with this logic it is okay for the pilot of a 747 who has made 1000 flights to have a few before he goes to fly 200 people? That's okay?as long as he knows he's good?

MacNsteazethe feeling of the car, as well as your senses and perception are all off when your drunk dude. your reaction times, your thought process, a lot more is affected by alcohol than you think. people don't know how they react in drunk situations because they rarely go through an emergency one but when something actually happens chances are you won't be making the right decision.
good luck to you and the people in your area, your gonna need it
pow_pow~seriously how many times have i said that im not drunk to the level that you're thinking. when i say drunk i mean maybe just over the legal limit here. which as ive said numerious times is under your legal limit. therefore i technically wouldnt even be drunk driving in the states. i really dont see how you fail to understand that.
