Give up NS during summer?

Every summer I find myself really bummed when I log into NS because I see all these videos and photos of what I want to be doing. Does anyone give up NS during summer? I don't really like the idea of it, but its hard thinking about skiing and not being able to do it. Like trying to be friends with a girl after you break up you know? it just doesn't work Any alternative ideas?

Newschoolers is what I want to be doing during the summer so it really doesn't bother me too much.

I kinda did that last year but i guess i wasn't as into skiing as this year. I think its better to go on NS and get stoked for next season than to just get depressed about not skiing.

Oh absolutely. Healthy dose of summer NS helps with many ailments. Just watch yourself in the NSG black hole. :)

Or you can combine the two loves, and do Newschoolers week at Windells! Both NS and skiing in summer. Perfect match.

ChuchI am sure NS traffic decreases significantly during the summer.


Yep, we lose anywhere from 40% of the traffic in a normal year, or in the case of last year where it was Olympics it was around 60% down from peak.

June/July are the lowest months, and things start picking up again when people go back to school late august.

I just hike the entire summer. Sometimes I go to the hill and run down the ski runs and pretend that I'm skiing.

Im hoping that one day NS will have a forum or section where theres things besides skiing. Yes I love skiing. Yes I'm bummed out that skiing is pretty much over in my area. But it would be so sick if we shared our videos of spearfishing, cliff jumping, hiking pics, long boarding, skateboarding, mountain biking, BMX, Moto, Atv, kayaking, rafting, and more!

So no, don't give up on NS. In fact, find some activities for the summer that you can relate to skiing, do with your skiing buddies, or just get that sense of stoke! Also, girlfriends are really nice to have in the summer. So as another season ends, take advantage of the things you can't do in the cold, because if your stoked this summer, next season will be here before you know it!

agreed. but come december, she's out. i have a friend who had a girlfriend this winter and he ditched skiing so many times for his girlfriend. we are freshman in high school. don't be that guy.

That's why you get a girl who skis and is chill. Hard to come across but they're out there!

I kinda meant a place where we could all go to get stoked like we do skiing wise. Yes I know this is a skiing site and different winters happen in different times but take the MTB thread in NSG for example. It's a awesome thread, but there's so many topics in that threead. Idk just an idea
