Places you have lost your keys in your house.

Ok so I have been looking for over 3 hours for my keys so I can go to work. I'm running out of places to look. I'm hoping people telling stories on where they lost their keys might help my memory tell me where they might be. My brain right now feels dead. I went theough all the places and retraced my steps after I remembered having them last. Went out to my car to get a pump for my gf and then thats it. Never left the house anywhere yesterday and have pretty much looked everywhere and they still seem to be just fucking gone.

So, any ideas are going to help me out a lot. Will post where I found them if I ever find them...

I'd check the ice tray, underneath your matress, and in the pocket of the pair of pants you wore last night (especially if you already hung them up)

I guess I should have added places I have checked.

Last pants I was wearing, hoodie I was wearing, looked through every window in my car, under my car, everywhere I was on the ground outside yesterday, by my bed, under dresser, behind dresser, under bed, every drawer in my house, looked in my dogs crate, in the side of my couches, under couches, under side tables, behind couches, in the fridge, in the freezer, under my oven, shook my garbage can to see if I could hear jingleing, checked in my recycling, under dogs bed, under door mat. Probably a bunch of other places I can't even think of now. Looked throughout my bathroom. Looked in the washing machine and dryer. Fuck, I've looked everywhere man. At least I feel like I've looked everywhere.

Yah I live in a basement suite and it's not like I have a lot of places to look. I have pulled my couches out and moved tables around. Moved my bed around. I try and be as thorough as possible when looking. I basically think of it as search and rescue mission. Retrace my steps when I know I had them last up to the point of where I know they were lost. I usually never really lose stuff either because I usually just know where stuff is. This is just throwing me for a loop because I can't find it and even if I lose something its never really gone for thatlong because I find stuff usually quick when I'm looking. Only thing I can really think at this point is that maybe I accidentally dropped them in my gfs purse or gave them to her to put the tire pump back in my car. If that's the case I will have to wait till she gets home to find out. Which isn't for another 4 hours or so.

well, looked for my keys for 10min once before I realized I had them in my hand?

I always put my kwys in my left pocket. I ince looked for them for 20 minutes tore the place apart. They were in my right pocket....

That's awesome. I usually keep my keys in my left pocket too. I made sure to check all my pockets of the pants/hoodie I was wearing. So far the only conclusion I can really hope for is that I stupidly threw them in my gf's purse. Other than that I'm all out of options I feel at this point... hahaha I've never felt so defeated by a set of keys in my entire life.

I used to have this chair that the back looked like it was connected to the bottom but it wasn't. My keys fell in there and i searched for my keys for like 4 hours until i found them barely dangling out of the back. I even looked in that spot multiple times.

Yah, I actually pulled my couches out and lifted them up and tapped the little fabric bit to see if maybe they fell in a hole I didn't know of or something. Came up with nothing.

It's been just over 6 hours I noticed they were lost at this point. Gf said she was going to check her purse when she's off work.

lol in a similar boat to you. just came on ns for a pick me up. I lost my phone somewhere in my house. I did not leave at all. I am home from break and my cousin's kids are staying at my parents house. I have spent the last 8 hours or so tearing apart the entire house (my house is not very big) looking for my damn phone and even outside.

My last thought is that one of the kids moved my phone and hid it. they are are 1 and 4

Here's and update: It's been just over 7 hours and my keys are still lost as fuck. At this point I am just waiting for my gf to come home. Still no clue whether or not she has them in her purse.

Update. I have finally looked in the purse and...





Drum roll....

They were not fucking in there. Where the fuck are they?Even checked the bag that has the pump in it and not there. Damn I really thought she had them. No idea where they can be now. I have somehow completely lost my keys in my place.

I've never drank or done drugs, but where I find my personal belongings is more than comparable to one who has been doing drugs.
1. House keys in a bowl full of grapes in the fridge
2. Inhaler Inside my pillow
3. I found my fucking phone in a giant thing of tums once. Not sure how that happened.
4. I didn't actually 'lose' my phone in this instance, but I was stuffing it Inbetween the air vents in my car because I was eating and didn't want to deal with it. Long story short it fell into the A/C thing and I ended up trying to unscrew the entire thing but it didn't work so $300 later A mechanic had gotten it out.

I found my wallet after several hours of looking on sunday morning. it was in the drawer under my TV where I keep remotes and cords and tv manuals and such.
