Jskis mounting position

So I recently bought a pair of jskis and I'm wondering where I should mount them center mount? or 2cm back from center? The factory says 2cm back from center but I just really don't know what's the best....Thanks

What skis? What percent of the time are you skiing park? If your using them for park almost all the time mount them true center.

The creeper (whipts) And I am more all mountain but if park is there I will ski it but I like groomer runs too, so Should I still Center Mount?

might as well do recommended. He designed the skis to be mounted there for a reason.

True, But is it going to be best for me? I think my current skis are center mount so I don't know????

It's probably not going to make or break your skiing. If you mount at recommended then you'll be in the correct spot to control the ski from. Unless you're backwards a lot of the time or your ski is symmetrical then you're probably fine on the factory mount point. even a -2cm mounting point on a park ski still leaves plenty of ski behind you.

regardless of where you mount, make a mark on the ski or something where you want it mounted. be very specific, and make the mark obvious and make sure the tech understands what it is that you want.

But I've heard stuff like its better to center mount because the inertia or something like that, which will be easier to ski and do tricks on center or 2cm back??

it makes the swing weight more even but only by a very tiny bit. It's not like you're going to be able to suddenly add rotations to your spins cause you changed your mount.

So then should I do the 2cm back mount? Do you ski? If so what mounting position do you have? Honestly this is my first brand new ski so I dont want to screw it up...

Center. The shape of the tip and tail is only 3mm difference. I had Chronics and I mounted them center. They still ripped groomers and everywhere else on the mountain. If you actually want to get serious in the park, go for center.

If you currently ride center mounted and like it that way, then mount them in the center. Otherwise only mount centered if you ride 70% of the time or more in the park, otherwise mounting back will give you better handling and float outside the park.

Mine are center mounted because they're symmetrical.
