Texting animation overlay?

How do you get a iMessage texting animation for video editing?? I've seen it many times but forgot which edits.. Real skifi? Or a red bull edit?

build it in photoshop, then animate it with after effects to overlay over your video

In the past I have used this for a lot of things, not sure if it has a full iMessage setup though: http://www.teehanlax.com/tools/iphone/

The whole concept of portraying text messages in film is very interesting and can be done very well in a creative fashion or terribly.

Here's my shot at it. Took like 45 minutes to figure out. What i did here what connect my iphone to itunes, went into quicktime player and started a movie recording and clicked on the drop down and selected "record my iphone". My iphone popped up and i screen recorded it. I then cropped it and imported into FCPX. I transformed it and moved it to where i wanted and then added some shitty sound effects. Hope this helps
