So someone finally makes a light bar for the foz that doesn't take a stupid amount of modification or custom welding to bolt to the car. What do you think? Cool or nah? Seriously considering getting one as I live in a place where collisions with deer and other wildlife is fairly common. As well as lots of fog and snow, always helpful to have extra lights for that.
The company is Primitive racing, they make some dope parts for subies in case anyone was wondering
cool_nameSlightly smaller ones mounted on your grill would look good, that entire bar setup seems to extreme for me
Yeah Ive looked into smaller ones, before. As I said though, where I live there really is a risk of hitting shit; deer, raccoons, other wildlife big enough to cause actual damage to the car which is the main reason for it. The same company also makes a nudge bar that is literally just a U shaped bar that comes up over the grill for mounting lights. However this one you have to mount to a skid plate, so I'd have the added cost of a skid plate. I was considering asking if they would make one of these bolt ons without the side pieces, so its just the inverted U with the bar in the middle to mount the lights on
I could maybe see putting this one on and keep in mind you can only have 4 front facing light on at a time on roads. So unless your off road really don't need those 4 extra lights. Maybe put an Led light bar strip on this one could be cool.

I have been considering that one for a while actually. My only gripe with it is that you have to mount a skid plate on the car first, then mount this to the skid plate, which ends up being more expensive. It has been an option Ive been considering though, and may be the one I go with. Wouldn't put a red light on it though, I'm actually trying to illuminate something which red isn't great for. Also red is associated with the back of a car, might cause dangerous confusion.
Ohh totally misread thought a skid plate had to be mounted for the other one aswell. Also LEDs don't have to be red can be white and yea would definitely be stupid to have red lights in the front of your car unless you want to get in a head on collision. Which unworldly recommend.

oh haha my bad, on your original post I read led as red. Drugs amirite? Im thinking I'll put circular lights on it (LED) not light bars, not a huge fan of how light bars look. I might end up going the rout with the skid plate and the two light bar though, since even with the skid plate it will be less due to only buying two lights. I was unaware of the 4 lights on the road law. So that changes things. Thanks!
I think it's okay... but I could see how it would grow on me. I'm a big fan of modifications that have a purpose. If it makes your driving experience better, I fully support it.

Yeah, I wouldn't do it just to flex and look cool. As I said, I live in a place where animal collisions are common and there is a lot of fog with no warning and snow with no warning (lake effect). I would just put the subaru fog lights in but they are pretty horse shit, I can get much better lights that I could mount on a bar.

I would also make sure to check your states laws on front facing lights cause it could be different. Skid plate can also protect the bottom of your car if you hit a deer.

I did after the prompt about it earlier, only 4 front facing lights can be turned on at any one time here on the roads.
