Does anyone else get super pissed off when 75 percent of the threads under the recent toolbar are threads that are already created? It just gets on my nerves so much that users literally don't use the toolbar. Or they might say they know that they should search the thing they are posting but they post it anyway. Super annoying!!
“There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious combinations. We keep on turning and making new combinations indefinitely; but they are the same old pieces of colored glass that have been in use through all the ages.” - Mark Twain
Very applicable with skiing. Obviously NSG is its own animal, but almost every dead horse has been beaten. The upside to reposts is that a new discussion can bring a new perspective, or turn into something awesome. Not always, but the possibility is there. So unless the repost is somehow completely useless (ex: where is chad's gap??), just let it be. Yelling at someone for a repost doesn't accomplish a whole lot.
Honestly it kind of bothers me that people get so bothered by this. It reminds me of when I was in school as a kid and some one would ask the teacher something like, "what page are we on?" And instead of the teacher saying, "page 50." She would say, I already answered what page we are on, next time pay closer attention." Its like a) fuck you and b) that shit ass comment took way more effort than just answering the god damn question in the first place.
