Help spotting landing on a frontflip

Tried a frontflip sunday because he snow had softened up but every time i get around i had trouble seeing me landing. anyway to help fix this. Also i was kinda throwing my flips over my shoulder because i was able to spin them faster. is this bad to do?

a bigger jump would help with seeing the landing cuz you have more time. you're throwing them kind of like a misty, which is why you landed sideways in the first video. personally, i would just try a misty instead cuz you seem to have the rotation. For an actual front flip, you have to throw it straight forward, not over your shoulder.

You set for a misty and then stayed in between. Throw it straight and you will land it.

front flip is just a really blind trick. But I agree bigger jump will give you more time to spot

u had it, a tip is when u flip look straight in between ur legs so it makes u flip forward not over ur shoulder.

Chances are you won't be able to spot the landing before you land, the only way is if you throw one off a bigger jump with a slower rotation you'll be able to see your landing before you invert but after that it is mostly blind.

1. Set the flip with both arms, it almost looks like you are going for some sort of mist 360.
2. You can really spot a front flip especially on a jump that small. You really just have to learn how fast to throw the flip.

Try spreading your legs and looking between them...


No for real, atleast for me the only way to spot the landing at a frontflip is looking over your shoulder a bit.

ya throw it equally with both arms. youre just setting it with your right, thus making you rotate in the air

i prefer not doing front flips because they are hard to spot, but after awhile you can get a feel for where you are in the air and when the landing is coming

Instead go switch grab right nose with rift hand look between your legs and hold nose the whole time

my adivce: do it on a slightly bigger jump, lay it out and look for the landing before you tuck

like most people have said front flips are harder because it's basically blind.

The best thing you can do for learning front flips is just increasing your air awareness. learn where you are in the rotation and judge that against the size of the jump. when you can do 100 front flips on a tramp theyre super easy on skis.

you don't spot the landing on a frontflip, you spot the sky , once you see the sky, open up and you should be good the landing will come right after
