Replying to Need help from those who know...

Ok, I know I will probably catch a lot of crap for asking these questions... but the ski shops seem to be clueless!

I am an old man who has been getting into the park and pipe for the past few years. I am skiing on 151cm 1080's with Salomon Xwave7 boots. I am 5'8' 135lbs. I also have a set of Pocket Rockets in 165cm. The 1080 skis awesome on the mountain, but I cannot seem carve to fast fakie and have problems pre-loading them.

My first question is are soft boots better that stiff boots for park/pipe, espcially since I am a light weight?

My second question is what would be a better park/pipe specific ski than the 1080?
