Don't bother with the 1080 (regular, not pro model, that is). It's basically a Salomon Xwave 8 with a shitty liner. if you want something softer for landings, just step down to the Xwave 6s. However, if you're happy with 7s... well, don't mess with a good thing.
If price is an issue, I'd suggest a pair of 164 line 1260s. If you get reactor bindings, they're interchangeable between pairs of Line skis, basically, so you can move to a different ski easily if you so desire. However, for all around performance in a soft ski, without sacrificing durability, I suggest the Rossi scratch FS. you'll find they're not particularly expensive, they hold up better than Troublemakers, and for a soft ski, they perform very well on the groomers. You won't be disappointed in them. And, you can get them in a 168. If you want to go even cheaper, the Scratch Eco is essentially the same ski, but with a wood core rather than the THC (Triple Hybrid Core, which is a bit lighter and snappier; it's the same core Rossi uses in their snowboards and in the Bandit series of freeride skis). The flex patterns are identical. It's a safer investment than many of the other suggestions made here. Also, if you buy Rossi bindings with them, the warrantee doubles to 2 years, I believe... at least, it used to.
