i believe its called a pole bounce some kids at my local hill saw it in a traveling circus video and learned them they were sketchy and they just through the pole straight down and it bounced off the tip and went straight up back into their hands. that trick was sick though!

this exact same guy was doing them in his edits back in 2010. there's an edit where he does a bunch of cool shit with poles.
