Sleepers

Was on the chairlift the other day with these old guys. They where trying to tell me that STIs and Evos are sleepers because they have 4 doors. How messed up is that.

I've thought that sleepers were "sleepers" to car guys, not just the general public. You could make the case for the AMG or M cars being sleepers, then, because people who aren't in the know might think that they are regular bimmers or mercs. Sleepers have always been, to me, modified cars. A rusty old car with a blown v8. Twin turboed sedan. There are no factory sleepers. Sleepers aren't meant to fool people. many factory cars can do that. Sleepers need to fool the people that matter- the car guys.

I drove a 2001 Cadillac DeVille. It had the North Star V8 in and holy shit did that thing fly! I loved it when the unassuming Honda Civic would pull up next to me. I'd leave them on the line every time.

I've always thought that someone should make this happen.

i was at a meet and a dumb rusted wrx with plastidip wheels showed up, it looked super shitty, he had put a 2.5 hood on it and took the spoiler off, but when he left he spun all four tires like a built evo
