Why get Drunk/High skiing

Hello ns,
I always see beer cans on the bottom of a lift. But recently i found a giant empty glass bottle of vodka. And i often smell the kushular modules going up the mountain. So my question to you is why would get drunk/high

You'd have to be an idiot to get drunk or super stones while skiing. Most people just ski buzzed. Like a few beers or just a joint

yeah i used to inject whole iv bags of ketamine while i was skiing, then it stopped getting me buzzed so i started making bleach into a solid and smoking it. bleach is pretty fun stuff you should try it op

If i'm just cruzing, smoking a jay or a bowl makes it more enjoyable. After all you can't say enjoyable without enjoy a bowl.

There's a difference between having a few beers over a few hours while skiing. And getting drunk where you're dangerous to others.

dont be soft.

im not saying ski the alta chutes at jackson hole while black out, but getting pretty sauced on hill is incredibly fun with friends. Especially if you are in the east or midwest.

Trash attackers... a lot of mountains have bins at the bottom and top of lifts, pocket your lift beers until you find one is the way to go.
As for the why get impaired thing... why get drunk or lit any time? because real life is shitty, and just like skiing its a way to escape reality and live in your own little world of fuck yeah and fuck everything.
That being said there is definitely a drunk limit before you get in those glades and try to cut down a tree full speed with your forehead.
But every time I light up on the mountain I find myself cruising groomers and appreciating the wonders of what exactly I am doing, on top of a mountain in middle of the coldest season with technologically engineered planks strapped to my feet.

Personally I ski better sober. Days when I want to progress I stay sober, days when I'm at a different mountain or a pow day I'll get fucked up.

i hate when people throw empties below the lift; not only is it littering, but someone is going to ski over your empty.toss your beer out at the top of the lift. the staff would appreciate it.

Skiing and drinks is all a good time, just recycle your cans after man. Nothing pisses me off more then people littering on the hill, especially at my hill in a National Park.

When I say I ski drunk sometimes I mean im skiing belligerently with my homies hootin and hollerin all the way down.

Drinking a few casual beers and getting a buzz on is just everyday routine.

Why not? I usually don't drink heavily unless there's a reason for it, rail jams, late night video parks, saint paddys day, etc, but having a few beers? Why not?

And smoke as much as you want. I learned all my tricks while being super burnt. The worst is if you take a park run with a blunt, you're just mindin your own business bumpin some tupac and the park tries to kill you. If you're lucky you can hold onto the blunt while you tomahawk so at least you have that to puff while you assess the situation.

Iv'e found that i have much more flow and style while skiing high through the park. I also seem to have more confidence in sending things. And lets be honest, everything is cooler when you're high. Just don't overdo it!

Yeah, I definitely feel more creative when I ski high. Being too high will ruin a good day of skiing though.

I try to keep any intoxicants to a minimum if i'm going to do anything "serious". That would be like hitting any big features in the park, tight trees, cliffs, etc.

Otherwise if i'm just cruising with friends/family, slightly to moderately to very drunk is pretty fun. As long as you're not a total ass clown and know where to draw the line, its a blast!

For me I often smoke weed when skiing. Usually I will ride most of the day sober and after about 4 hours I often get bored; mainly cause my local terrain park is small. Once I'm bored and smoke up, I get more creative and it restores some of my energy. I find that weed really helps me ski for as long as possible.
