Soft, medium, hard

I'm really new to skiing so I don't know a whole lot But right now I'm riding some medium flex skis and was thinking of getting the Al dentes but Ik there pretty flexible which is what I originally wanted but now I'm not sure if I want a ski that's on the softer scale, so could someone explain some pros and cons about soft, medium, and stiff skis.

Soft skis are gut for Butters Nolies and butter in in boxes. I genrally like skis with that are soft in front but solid underfoot so i can still send it.

Stiffer skis will give you more control on rails and landing, medium skis will be a good inbetween they will be lightly buttery, great on rails and landings, soft skis will be more playful and fun, more buttery, better for ollies, control on landings will be fairly difficult, especially for a intermediate rider. I prefer a soft ski, I have the J skis whipit, it helps to have a soft light ski at my mountain because every rail is "urban on" with a stiffer heavier ski that will be much more difficult.

Soft skis are the most fun, but don't feel that medium or stiff can't be. In fact, I bought a pair of medium skis and they broke into the perfect flex. It all depends on the style of your skiing

I really just can't decide whether to buy the armada THall or al dente. Both flexible although the THall is a tad stiffer but the al dente is wider so it would be better all mountain if I ever decided to go ski some glades and what not.

I rode t-halls for a couple seasons and won't consider anything that soft again. I can't imagine going even softer than that.

They were 09/10 T-Halls so I'm not sure how much they've changed. I weighed 120 at the time.

I'd say stiffer skis let you jump higher (i.e. more pop), but softer skis let you ollie higher (as in flexing your tails and jumping off them).

It's somewhere in the middle. Too soft and it won't spring back and pop. Too stiff and you won't be able to flex it in the first place.

as your style evolves youll feel this out over time, but if you are an all mountain skier that rips fast and hard than get stiff, if you want to noodle around the park like a tween ballerina get the soft.

11/12 t-halls were kinda stiff , still the best ski i ever had , so fun and durable

may be if your really experienced but i feel softer skis let you learn ollies a bit easier
