Granite_StateOverpriced? Yes. Bumfuck nowhere? No. Burly is one of the nicest cities in New England. Maybe THE nicest. But all the schools in it are waaayyyyy overpriced for sure.
Nacho_Macho_manI'd rather got to UVM than PSU
Granite_StateWhatever floats your boat Matt. But when you get a little older and realize financials play a large part in the majority of college decisions you may, and probably will, reconsider:)
Lord_ByronVermont sucks, nut up and move west like a real skier.

Granite_StateYou mean bitch out and move west right?
Lord_Byronif bitching out means skiing on real mountains and experiencing "above treeline", then yes, bitch out.
UglyboyIf your sole reason in college is to ski and you're picking a college solely on that then you're an idiot. Yeah skiing is nice but education should always be priority number one
Granite_StateAnd the fact is the schools here in the east are better than any school out west.
Byron, name the best ski school out west and Ill name one here thats better.

All are closer to the farthest mountains in NE than Stanford is to the closest mountain in CA...and all are equally if not better schools.
elindeEhhhhh these are debatable. Stanford is an extremely good school. However, it is an exception to the general rule that eastern schools are better than those in the west, so Byron still sucks. Go east!!
Lord_ByronLets say I want to go to college. I want to go to a pretty good, respectable college, but like most people I don't have a 4.0 and im not going to get into Harvard/Stanford/Berkley etc. I just want a good education.
I also want to ski pow and steep alpine runs.
Why would i go east.
Utah State, Utah, UW, CU, Oregon, are all academically decent, and have skiing worth buying a season pass for.
Besides, this is like your best year ever, and your bases are still about 20-30 inches deep.
But sure, I hear slush and ice is a blast to ski!
Granite_StateNah but ice and slush make me a better skier than you.
