Sketchy3sThis is honestly the best thing though. Honestly I was able to get to the point where I am skiing because the really good really humble guys at my resort were super chill and showed me the ropes and didn't give me shit for not being as good as them. If you are a great skier and also humble it seriously makes you 150% gooder.

sewardyou obviously dont know whats gooder around these parts kid.
conchetlerbeing humble is the best thing you can be in whatever you do, not just skiing. it makes everyone feel better, and no one likes a cocky asshole
freestyler540I dont know. At one point in my earlier years, I figured out skiing is much more fun when you are with friends. Best way to make friends is being friendly.
iantheunderdogSo when ever I talk to or see someone better then me by a lot and they are humble about how good they are, it makes them so much better in my book. Like theirs people at my local resort who are cold as hell and don't think much of it and are chill and still ride with people not as great. Theirs also someone who I ride with who is better then me on everything except jumps by alot. So hes really cold at rails. The one problem is hes cocky as fuck and always brags and talks shit when you wont do stuff he can do. I also know rally good people but are cocky af. Its good to believe in your skill level but sometimes its to much.Theirs little kids who I have taught park to and it feels good to be humble and not brag like my friend. Im Curious if you know what I mean or have any story's about your experiences with really skilled people and there attitude.
kryptonicBut my other friend I ski with really often who is a snowboarder is such a cocky hypocrite.
cory.iyoobThen why the fuck do you ski with him?

theabortionatorNot to be that guy, but being a little bit of a cocky asshole can help you succeed. More often than not that helps that competitive spirit that drives people.
DobberTruuuu. I don't even have the heart to put other people down. I always feel guilty if I piss someone off.
Holzsteezy*but what if someone asks if you're good? and if you're actually good,, do you say that you're really good? or just act like "ya im ight"
DiabeetoWhat does good even mean? Am I better than the kid trying to learn front 2's? Yes. Am I better than the dude throwing dubs? Not even close. Am I good?
Just let you skiing speak for itself, if you can't spark up a conversation beyond the point of how good are you or how many tricks can you land, you might be skiing for the wrong reasons.
Holzsteezy*Im not talking about myself.. it was just a question. I ski because I like it. not to be cool or something. I do it cause it's just me.

People that kill it and are still humble are awesome, but I'm just saying that a lot of times it helps to be at least a tiny bit cocky. At the very least confident.

pezzinatorThere's this kid who skis on my local mountain...and he is such a cocky and narcissistic bitch. He thinks hes god. He's created his own fb profile, begs and pleads with ALL the local news stations to brag on his slight talent and always prays for attention.
