How to do a frontflip on skis?

Looking into trying a frontflip before the seasons over. I've been doing them on tramps for years, and am very confident doing them there. I was wondering if its much different doing them on skis and whats the best way to do them. Thanks!

Doing frontflips on tramp is different than on skis, mostly due to all the added weight of your boots, skis, and bindings. Pop hard and commit and you'll be fine.

I'm also thinking about trying one this weekend. Easy on tramps but is it better to go off a jump w/ less pop since you aren't going as much against the natural curve?

I have the issue of forgetting to pop before I tuck so when I did a front flip over a tire, some problems occurred, but its really just a matter of hucking it.

this was my first attempt a few years ago. no other videos but i've since got better at them. you def gotta huck it harder than on a trampoline i still find them a little awkward.

I can't believe this, OP is a guy that has a trampoline and can ski a whole season. Listen OP, I only ski 5 days a year with my family because I live 15 hours away from the mountains, I don't have a trampoline either, so I never ever did a frontflip or practiced any other trick on a trampoline. This ski vacation I did my first ever frontflip and it was on skis on a 6meter kicker.

You wanna know how to do a frontflip? I'm gonna give you 3 steps:
1. Stop being a pussy
2. Stop being a slack jawed phaggot
3. Do it, phaggot

If you look at this video when the dude pops, his skis come forward instead of driving over his head. I can't front flip on skis but have done similar shit with gymnastics. I'm gonna say your best bet is to stagger your skis and when you pop literally try to kick your feet over your head and commit 100%. Good luck man, hope you stomp itt!

That's not me. It was a joke, Nicky said to pop and tuck but nothing about throwing. Hence the video he popped and tucked but didn't throw

i like to very slightly lean back, and then at the lip of the jump roll forward and pop very hard using your whole legs, from there suck your knees up and grab them if it comes naturally, should come at least 3/4 the way if you commit.

I understand that. I've seen a few videos of skiers doing what the guy did in that video though and I was just kinda pointing out what he did wrong to help op/ anyone reading this thread to not make that same mistake...
