Replying to Surface skis durability, durability in general
Ik surface isnt known for their durability but has anyone heard about any of their skis this year. Have they gotten a little better worse or stayed the same from recent years. In particular the surface outsider is a ski that one person at my hill rides. Ive read lots of posts about durability lately and im not really sure what the definition is. I mean surface skis are not said to be durable and they are also a $500 plus ski. But what if the skis were priced at $350? would this change in price point make it a "more durable" ski for the money. if someone skis exclusively rails how many days should they be able to ride them. Do any factors play into your ideas on durability of a ski such as flex or price or whether its a rail or jump ski. just wondering about these skis in particular but the broader question is what do you believe durability is, an exact number would e helpful such as 100 days of rails or 200 days of jumps. i understand an exact number would be unreasonable as different skiers ski harder or less hard but any rough number guesstimate would help!
