Neat stuff in tokyo

I'm going to Tokyo on march 20 for 9 days and I'm looking for things to do. So far the only things I've figured out is to go to the fish market and go to nozawa onsen for a couple days to ski of course.
Any help is appreciated!

Get a car and go drifting. I'm pretty sure they don't do anything else there. Maybe read anime with one hand, eat sushi with the other, and drift the night away.

Get a job delivering sushi for your dad and practice drifting in the mountains on the way to deliver stuff.

Check out godzilla's grave.

the ramen bars for sure.

try to go out to kyoto or nara and see the shinto and buddhist temples. you can pet deers in nara btw.

in tokyo the sky tree is fucking awesome, so many cool things you can buy, there is also a pretty cool aquariam under it.

the tokyo fish market is really cool as well.

I think my favorite thing to do there is actually go through these walkways with tons of shops on both sides and just walk through them, there are tons of these in every city with really cool stores as well.

oh also you gotta go to shin osaka station and go check out whats up over there. Its like the fucking future over there.

Honestly if you still can, foreigners can get a train station passport/ card thing so you can ride most of the trains for free and your in the nice coaches as well, its a really good investment if your spending at least a week over there.

Thanks for the solid answer I'll look into that especially the train passport. Adding Godzillas grave on my list of things to do for sure

Yeah, the Jr rail pass is the way to go. Sky tree is pretty cool, but you get almost the same view for the Tokyo tower for way cheaper. The tsukiji fish market is super fun, go early to see the tuna auctions. Find some hole in the wall conveyor belt sushi place to eat. Also check out akihabara, the electronics district.

Not sure if you're a whiskey drinker but the Japanese whiskey Yamazaki is supposed to be one of the best whiskies in the world. If you can get your hands on some, try it!

It'll be right in the middle of cherry blossom season when you're there. (Sounds lame, but trust me!) Go and hang out in parks, especially around the Imperial Palace. Everyone goes there, sits under the blossom trees, drinks beer and gets hammered basically. As a foreigner, smile lots and you'll almost certainly be welcomed into a group of locals and you'll have a great Japanese experience.

Skytree and Tokyo Tower both cost a fair bit to go up. You can go up the Tokyo Metropolitan Government office building to the viewing area at the top for free. Right in west Shinjuku. You get a great view of the city, on a clear day you can see Mount Fuji.

Just walk around after dark in east Shinjuku or Shibuya. If you're into clubbing, Womb is pretty special.

And learn a few words in Japanese, it'll go a long way.
