So, I'm looking at buying a pair of skis with Frischi Dimair Freeride bindings. My current touring set up in telemark, but I might be giving it up.

I skied them today and I had to raise the din 3 points in order to not pop out when I balanced on my tips. They only have a din on the back of the binding.

I'd be skiing them in and out of bounds.

I am worried that I can't trust the bindings in no fall zones. Anyone have any experience charging on AT gear?

My buddy has fritchis on one of his smaller waisted skis...he pops out of them all the time. They are not a rigid as a newer frame style AT binding. The last thing you want is to be releasing in a no fall zone. Id save some more coin and go with a duke/guardian/adrenaline.

My binding repair kit (bailing wire) has been used on Frischi bindings Moore than anything else... because many friends used to use inferior bindings. Don't make that mistake. Do as our long haired fried advises above.

I'm 5 8. 135 lbs. skiing a 192.

so I can get away with something fairly flimsy.

I'ma stay on the lookup for beasts/dukes/gaurdians/adrenlines.

I skied on my Trackers for the better part of 2 seasons before they finally broke down. I didn't actually tour much, but season one was nothing but cliffs and bonks and then I took them to Timberline to ski park non stop. Then the second season was just a buncha ice and crappy snow. Lotsa park and a few cliffs. I skied a lot of powder and a lot of rocks.

But in the end I ended up releasing constantly. I broke both of the rails out of each binding. Plus my AT release tab broke.

I loved skiing on them and didn't mind one bit that I was skiing park on a pow ski with a touring binding. I never gave it a second thought, because they never let me down. Until they were just fucked and then they let me down constantly.

Mostly, I blame the fact that I was skiing on some straight NOODLE-ASS Pettitors. I mounted a set of demo bindings on them after these and they didn't last a day before ripping out. Too much flex.
