OK, so...I'm 6'3" 190lb East coaster. I'm an excellent skier but a little sketchy in the park. I have some old beater Line Anthems in a 161 that are my screwing off/backyard/early season skis that are still a lot of fun and were good "learner" skis. I have since upgraded to K2 Recoils/Revivals in 179 which are great all mountain skis. They are both center-mounted, the length feels perfect, and they are very stable on everything I have thrown them at. In an effort to get more mileage out of my K2s I am looking to a pair of Traveling Circuses for dedicated park activities.
Now the question is...do I go with what I am already comfortable on in a 179 or go for a possibly more playful 171?
I feel like my Anthems being little shorty skis helped me get better at rotational stuff, but I still have a long ways to go. For this reason I feel like 171's might be a fun inbetweener ski. I don't plan on doing much high speed or downhill, I'd just like to beat these skis off of everything I come across and throw some rotation/inversion into the mix.
How do you guys make your TCs work for you? How do the 179s treat you for jibs and flips? Input appreciated!
