Gopro help

ok so every time i try to film with my gopro and get some footage when i bring it home to look at it the footage is all choppy and skips a bunch of parts and i dont know why. i dont render them or anything i just put the sd card into the computer download them and open them in imovie. am i doing something wrong with the downloading part or could it be the quality of my sd card maybe?

what are the camera settings at? what gopro do you have? what sd card?

the problem could be the fps you're filming or the sd card.

iMovie, at least for me, can't handle anything over 720p. I get the same problem. I think there is a setting where you can show it on iMovie in a lower frame rate and resolution, and then export it at its original but I don't know where that setting would be.
