I've been trying to blind 2 off on my backyard rail for a couple of days and I keep having the same problem. Once I get 90 degrees my tips hit the wood supporting the rail, how can I fix this?
This was happening to me a while ago. Something that I did to fix it was to pop harder, but the biggest thing is to wait a little longer to spin off. You are spinning too early and you should pull your legs up more.
Definitely more speed, also when I blind 2 I bring my legs up a little. Make sure you set your edge before you pop, it always helps bring the rotation around
I was doing that to when I learned and it may be because of what they said above ^^^ but it may also because you "pre turn". Take a video of yourself and pause as your spinning off. It may be because of you are switch while still on the rail then trying to do the spin. Make sure you are 90 while you start the spin. Helped my a lot
I had this problem when I first learned front 2 out, but not blind 2. The trick is, is to not use the pedal to spin, instead use the pedal as a guide almost the start you turning early on the rail and then hop off and complete the rotation. Mainly just really focus on hopping out. Example: So you're on the rail and start pedaling near the end, just a little to start spinning and then hop off. I know it doesn't feel like it but when you pedal but the time you are at the end of the rail you really only have to hopp 180 out, but it looks like 270 because the motion is so quick. If the pedal becomes to much off an issue and doesn't help your situation at all just try hopping the full 270 off and implement the pedal later on when the blind 2 feels more natural.
i would suggest getting more speed and popping up harder. You wanna set your pop when your 85% done with the rail. You also wanna look over your shoulder when you start spinning.
i had this problem and what fixed it for me was when i pop and start to spin, i try to lean back a lil bit and physically watch my skis clean the rail before spotting my landing. keep at it and youll figure it out, it took me like a week on my summer setup when i first learned them
