MoonshineI'm spending the semester in Auckland, NZ and the ski club is heading to an indoor ski hill. Apparently the park is decent so I'd love to go mess around for a few hours, don't want to pay to ski the "mountain" though. Anyone know where I can rent twin tips or some ski that would work in the park? If anyone's willing to lend theirs or an extra pair or something, I'd be happy to pay you. Thanks yall
NegromancerHey man I live in Auckland and ski the snowdome a lot. As for renting twin tips there is pretty much no where you can do this unfortunately in Auckland.
Your best bet would be to head over to Snow Centre in New Market Auckland and try and see if you can't find any cheapish second hand park twins. Snow Centre has a lot of second hand gear so you might get lucky.
Also what do you mean by "don't want to pay to ski the mountain" if you plan on just hiking the park you'll probably have a pretty shitty time because the snow is pretty soft plus it's steep at the top so you get tired real quick and they may even kick you out.
marrowsnot sure if I'm reading this correctly, but just so you know, you can't just walk into snowplanet and hike the rails. you pay to go in regardless of whether you use the lift or not.
you can rent gear there aswell, i'm sure.
