AnGaperIt's not hard to spot the difference once you know what divides the two. In a rodeo, the rider becomes completely inverted, but in a flatspin the rider doesn't. Imagine a line from your toes to your head, in a rodeo, this line will be upside down at some point
tdolloIt's the other way around.
NielsLAflatspin 5 is sort of an off axis backflip with a 180 in the end, rodeo you're lying more flat in the air

MiomoMistys and bios are both off axis. The on-axis is a barani/overflip/frontflip spin.
The difference between a rodeo and a flatspin:
Rodeo = off-axis backflip
Flatspin = off-axis lincoln loop
Puzzledoffaxis can have a lots of meanings. Do you label a backflip an offaxis 360? It is.
Misty's are not 100% inverted, but if you try a barani 720, anyone watching will say you did a misty type spin, unless you're fuckin Fergusson lol
MiomoA 360 is a spin around the Y-axis, a backflip around the X-axis. They're different. Off-axis is where you aren't confined to the axes. If you spin around some intermediary axis, it's "off-axis". In backflip 360, the X-axis rotates along the Y, and you spin around both... If you know what I'm saying.
shin-banghelpppppppp i posted a thread in trick tip similar to this. but what would this be? just a meat huck lol?
https://www.newschoolers.com/watch/761087.0/Video--2--MOV note. i was going for the flat 3 and got 450 and ate crap. any tips for hucking it again to will get k+

filipoioNo one cares, it's basically the same trick...
PuzzledLet me clarify again, a backflip can be an offaxis 360. As long as you don't specify any xyz, anything can be offaxis. Who says a skier vertical vector is along the Y ? Why aren't we along the Z? How do you know that?
PuzzledMaybe its all perfectly defined in gymnastics, but as freeskiers, we use transitions to launch into these rotations, so of course they will all end up being slightly offaxis (maybe x, maybe y or z, depends, unless you're using a perfect aerial jump).
PuzzledWhat you need to know, and what my original post was referring to :
Inverted for freeskiers = feet above head, even slightly.
A misty? Inverted.
shin-bangWhoever tells me what trick I attempted will get k+ lol
Alex_BralowerThere you did a sort of under flip/rodeo variation, to change that to a flat 3 set your spin harder.
Download-My-Appsuhhhh, he rotated a 450 I dont think he needs to spin harder....
Download-My-AppsIt looks as though your hips were setting more for rodeo or underflip but your upper body rotates when you leave the jump as if you're wanting to cork. You either have to flip and add spin or spin- and add flip off the jump, your body tried to do both at once....
