Kind of like the no hiking rails thread I have a few questions for my fellow NS'rs. Due to my current fanatical situation I can no long afford a lift ticket. Who here has hiked a park without a lift ticket? How many times? Have you ever been hassled, if so what was the staffs response? Any tips? Thanks for helping a poor ass mofo out BTW I work a full time job just have LOTS of bills. It's a pretty small east cost mtn if that matters. Sorry about the briefness, grammer using my phone at work.
one: they do not profit, Im sure you could talk your way around this one.
Two: Liability reasons, when you buy a pass you are signing waivers and saying you accept the risk to use the ski hill facilities. Without getting a lift ticket you bypass this process and I can imagine very few hills would consciously allow this as they would be put at risk.
You can try your best to talk your way around it or avoid the problem all together. But if a hill finds out you will most likely be removed and they have all the reason too.
just go for it. worst thing that happens is they tell you to leave. but be covert and once you're up there hiking rails, they're not gonna be able to distinguish you from passholders, if they even care.
Ya just go for it, Worst comes to worst you just get kicked out. but usually they only scan you at the bottom, and unless someone gets injured ski patrol stays out of the park
Thanks for the responses guys, I will be attempting my Mission Tommorow morning. My hill has never scanned in the 10 yrs I've been there so that's a start, the merge of our parks is at a lodge I could hike that then sneek the 100 yards to the first rail hahah. I guess I just wanted to hear from others before attempting on my own.
