What up guys, so currently I'm rocking the marker griffons and I keep hearing these bindings are really legit. What is the biggest difference between the two?
Essentially the FKS is a much burlier binding (with the exception of the newer FKS 12) when the binding was first designed they were designed to be able to withstand the force from racers going down icy courses at massive speeds and so were made of mostly metal. This makes them a lot more durable but also heavier.
The Griffon on the other hand was designed for lighter weight skiers learning basic tricks in the park and so it is mostly plastic. It's a good basic binding for the right person. They get a bad rep though from people expecting too much from them. If you're planning on throwing big tricks and dropping big cliffs and are not a small teenager then they aren't the right binding and a FKS, STH2, or Attack binding is a better choice.
