theabortionatorBecause he isn't deliberately trying to be offensive or anything herp derp derrrrrrrrp
of course not, i cant imagine that he would PURPOSELY try to offend people, who would possibly do such a thing?
my point is that even when he isnt actively saying things that are offensive, or even borderline offensive, people still scrutinize his every action to find SOMETHING to be offended about. remember the eeny meeny miny moe incident? that "offensive" remark a) was never aired, it was an outtake b) you had to turn your speakers all the way up and even then it was barely a whisper. c) he knew it was inappropriate, offensive, and crossed a line, and chose not to say it, and he was still blasted by the media, bbc, and every single butthurt individual on the planet about things jeremy clarkson does.
but lets be real, all this controversy and bullshit is doing nothing but giving clarkson and top gear an even better seat in the spotlight, all publicity is good publicity right? think eminem, granted its a slightly different situation, but when he started blowing up, a HUGE part of it was the controversy and popping up in the news, no advertising was needed, the media was doing it all for him, would he be successful without the controversy? of course. would he be AS successful? probably not.
