theres just this new commercial and the ending is some guy yelling out hashtag like its the coolest fucking thing,but he looks and sounds like a fucking moron.

hashtags had a purpose, now they still serve the same purpose but people dont know what that is and grossly misuse them

I have a suggestion, don't use them :) They do add effect to instagrams or tweets when there are limited characters. You can use one or two hashtags to sum up an idea.

I disagree, used sparingly and with intelligence they can capture the irony or humour of a situation in a way that you just couldn't with traditional spelling/syntax/grammar.

To suggest that hashtags are the preserve of vacuous pumpkin spice latte drinking white girls is simply disingenuous.
