New boots and binding readjustment

My skis (AR7) were originally mounted with Tyrolia peak 15 bindings using a size 27.5 (319 BSL) Rossignol boot at 2.5cm back from centre. I recently got fitted to a smaller full tilt drop kicks size 26.5 (302 BSL). I noticed the heel of the bindings are adjustable via a lock tab type mechanism, where you lift the tab and the heel can slide forward or back and lock into a new position. I adjusted the heel forward 4 lock slots to my new boots and it seems to fit fine, although more center mounted now. No changes were made to din. Is this a safe alternative to remounting, if not I will go to the shop. Sorry for my ignorance.

Possibly. It depends weather tge forward pressure is still correct. Although the boot may go into the bindin there may not be sufficient pressure to keep you in when skiing. Take them to a shop and have the forward pressure checked. If you need a remount though it's not a big deal.
