Can people list some skis that don't suck to lug uphill but can handle crud and aren't too bad if you ski down in cruddy hardpack?
I bought some Blizzard Scouts but I am worried that I didn't get a light enough ski.

VD.Based on your suggestion of the Scouts, I'm guessing you're happy with that kind of girth underfoot, hence the suggestions.
Black Diamond Carbon Conver
Down Skis Countdown 6
Black Crows Navis Freebird
Faction Agent 100
Moment Underworld
MCsugarcatThe Navis Freebird are what I really wanted but woulda cost another 300.
How much lighter are they than the Scouts?
VD.Navis Freebird - 1880gr at 179cm
Scout - 2000 at 177cm
MCsugarcatBut yeah so I'm all set and I'll throw Beasts on these that sounds like what I want for hucking cliffs into powder but what is the best light weight touring ski that will still hold a big 250 lb guy but has a waist closer to 80mm around 180cm long? Might get some lighter bindings on steep and cheap over the summer and have a second set up when I can afford it.
