Hestra Fall Line Mitt

Hello NS!

Tried these gloves on the other day at my local shop.


They where comfy and seemed warm but where expensive. Are they worth the money? Durable? waterproof? incase you know anything about them hit me up.

Some of the best mitts on the market. They have the possibility to last you a life time if you treat them well. They're warm but not as warm as the Hestra Henrik Pro's. They're made out of leather so if you apply a leather balm to them they will stay waterproof. I highly suggest buying them if you have quite a few colds days where you live.

I've worm my hestra gloves for the past 7 years and they still in good condition. just keep the leather conditioned with leather balm.

a lot of people will tell you to buy a pair of kinco mitts. earlier in the season i pulled the trigger but there no were near as good. their cheap, warm and tough but due to the hardness of the leather you lose dexterity.

i would 100% recommend hestra I've owned and sold them and apart from the price i can't think of a bad thing to say about them.

I had Hestra Seth Morrison gloves for years, best glove I've ever owned. Got stolen this summmer sadly and bought new Army Leather Wool gloves and they're just as good. They're so worth the price tag.

Just got these mittens this year and I love them.

I haven't had much of a problem with my hands getting damp so far but I haven't been skiing in super wet conditions. They come with a little packet of leather balm, which I used, but the leather on the outside would still get wet. This is probably to be expected, but to try to maximize longevity, I just put a bunch of Sno Seal on them. Haven't had a chance to test out how well they bead water now yet.

They're pretty warm and felt fine when it was about 15 degrees, but the tips of my fingers were definitely getting pretty cold on a 6 degree day.

Also I recommend getting the Hestra handcuffs. They're like 5 bucks and let you take off your gloves without dropping them.

Don't waste your money on gloves, get some kinco ski mitts for 20 bucks. Not only are they tough as hell, they are also super warm. IMO it really is not worth it to blow that much money on a mitt when there are equal options for little of the price.

They are not completely waterproof, most gloves aren't. Lube them up with leather balm and they will be repellent to water and last forever. Hestras are the best I've ever had, I would say its worth the money for staying warm.

I have those exact mitts and they are fucking awesome, easily the best mitts/gloves ive ever had. My fingers get cold really easily and these have always kept them warm even in negative temps.

I have a pair of them and they are hands down the best mittens on the market that ive seen that arent +250$. I also have some Kinco's which I use on normal days so I don't beat up my hestras, and while I love both and both are better than anything Ive used previously, kinco's cant even come close to the quality and warmth and dexterity of the hestra's. I got the kinco's to beat up and thats what they are being used for.

those hestra's are so warm my hands were sweating in -20 degrees in NH (colder than out west) and i was freezing except my hands.

I had a pair that lasted the best part of ten years, with a bit of care and leather food to keep it supple they really are great value. Highly recommended!


I'm using Armada Duffy's now which are pretty much the same but a bit warmer and have better finger movement.

Hestra vertical cut freeride are the best gloves ever. Cant imagine using anything else.
