had to session a table with a death knuckle that rose up 3 ft from top for a new years expo a few years back. to make it worse it was too long to bomb and clear so we were towed downhill with snowmobiles!!! knuckled once and bit through tongue

Hit a big ol' cannon box goin about 28mph and there was a screw stuck out of the surface, right on the end. I caught it and dove to a complete scorpion and bent my sternum. The screw tore the edge completely out of my ski and the mountain offered to buy me new ones. good on them.

Wooden fence in the middle of the trail as a feature in carinthia. Perpendicular to the trail and about 4 feet tall with a little lip up to it. Only saw snowboarders hitting it all day.

At holiday valley there was this gap to down rail and it honestly sounded like I was rubbing my skis up against metal sand paper. Worst sound ever. Rail wasn't even smooth. Looked like painted over rust

HAHAHA my mountain wouldve told me the screw was part of the feature and i was supposed to hop over it

There's this gnarly kink rail at my home hill, pretty much 90 degrees for the kink. It's 20 feet away from the end of the tow rope so you have to gain a lot of speed to hit it, I hit it, slid out on the kink, front flipped, and ended up straddling the rail.

i swear some features are built for snowboarders, and maybe even anti skier. like the mandatory ollie rail at keystone and more recent mount snow has step down round logs and rails with obstacles to either side... or at the end of the rrail.

tellurides makeshift dfd, it was a down bar to flat down and you got so much momentum that you'd get bucked every time by the flat to down and end up gaping almost half of the last down. shits scary.

At AV we've got a down tube with a donkey dick. We like to call it the fully erect donkey dick because the down tube is super steep and then the tube piece they welded on is about 3 ft long and it is angle up.

The sketchiest feature I've hit was a gamer. Seriously was coming is so how and just took him right out but ollied just before, he fell down and I slid over him like a rail.

it's under 45 I'm pretty sure, 90 would actually kill you. everyone sees 45 and thinks 90. good luck on it though, it's burly.

Anywhere close to 45 is steep as hell. We do 15 degree kinks where I work, and they are perfect in my opinion.

A setup at a preseason railjam.
They had two features

On one side they had a down to donkey, but they set it up poor so it acted more like a down-up rail.

On the other side they had a waterfall rail. By the time the skiers were allowed to hit it, the lip was gone and you had to Ollie with the strength of a kangaroo to get on top of it.

Both features had about 2 feet of stopping space.

I once took the pole from an old basketball hoop and set it up against a flat roof of a shed that was made of plywood. Because it wasn't long enough had to put the other end on a trash can that was on it's side and it was a 10 ft drop to flat on both sides. Scariest shit in the world

We built 2 PVC rails over summer with old scraps etc.
There were rusty nails sticking out and the ends of the pipes cracked/split after a few hits so there were bits of PVC sticking out.

It's 45 degrees but park crew put it in at a slant to mellow out the kink. You have to hit it slowly or else it will feel like getting hit by a truck.

I was at peak n peak a couple years back and every single rail felt like this, end of the day my skis looked like I was trying to grind concrete ledges
