Another Reason Why NS is the BEST

Several weeks ago, I took a nasty spill on a dub backie attempt up at PCMR. Luckily, my pals caught it on camera, and I submitted it to the crash section here on NS. After only a couple of hours I started to rack up the upvotes and the next day it was blowing up. Everything settled down eventually and I started to forget about the clip.
-Fast forward to a few days ago>

I'm on NS and I check my PM's to find a message that at first I thought was spam, but after a quick read I realized it was from a fairly large media distributor under the name Jukin Media, who manages the infamous Fail Army social media and YouTube accounts.

Turns out, they want to compensate me ($150) for the use of my video in one of their 'Fail of the Month' compilations.

I can't stress enough how fucking rad this community is, and how truly blessed I am to have stumbled upon it years ago.

Thank you guys so much!

that is so sick that they contacted you to pay you! I always just assumed they took the videos from websites or youtube without caring. People steal shit all of the time on the interwebz and never give credit! They must be making some serious bank to be able to pay everybody $150...

A couple summers ago my friend got 50 bucks from the same YouTube account for a clip of a friend going over the handlebars into a faceplant while mountain biking. Needless to say it was pretty awesome.

This happened to a friend of mine last week, (the video is called Getting Rekt on NS) it's pretty neat, my friend hasn't gotten a check yet I dont think he was even told how much yet. But it's pretty neat.

That is some racist shit... If that was the same exact scenerio, with the same exact reaction, but from a white person you would not say that. (this is one of the things that makes NS not so great, or at least NSG)

had this happen to me last year. got the message in december 2013, finally got the money on pay pal in march 2014. $150 USD so about 155 or so CAD
