Soul 7 / sin 7 Demo skis

im looking for a freestyle back country/ powder ski for next year. I work at a ski hill and we have demo skis That we seek at the end of each year. Would these skis be good for me. I would only use them about 5 times a year. But they drop the price a lot and I would get 20 percent off
For being an employee. This would be my first pair of powder skis btw. Also there are some volkl mantras but I would probably get one of the rossignols

We'll it will depend on a few things. Firstly do you want to ride switch much? If you do I would look for a ski with more tail and tail rocker.

Also so will these be a dedicated powder ski? At 102 and 98mm underfoot they are not that wide so you may prefer to look at perhaps the super 7 Or somthing else a little wider.

Probably not that much switch riding but I live in Wisconsin so the most powder we would get would be 8 to 10 inches at the most in one snowfall. Also there are some k2 hellbents and armada bubbas on sale in the evo outlet would those be better?

Bubbas would be excessive, they are basically only good for superrrr deep days. It really depends, do you want a playful ski? Stiffer or softer ski? Do you want to use them other than pow? All these will help find a ski for you. The problem with the soul/sin is they are very unstable ski so if your at all lighter than a feather they arent fun to ski, but its just wisconsin so lol.

Yeah I'm definitely looking for a playful ski and im about 170 pounds and 5"10 the only time I would use them would be in powder never on hardback and I would probably use them in tight trees more than just open pow runs

Go with the Faction Candid 4.0s they are super light and super fun. Ross has had a lot of production issues this year with consistent overall product of the quality.

So, I guy asks about a couple ~100mm skis for using in the midwest and you suggest a ski that is over 120mm under foot? where the fuck did that come from?

recommending a powder ski. 100mm underfoot is not really a pow ski. More of an all mountain ski. If you are wanting to go in the narrow pow area wait and get next years faction candid 3.0 (it is called the CT 3.0) still super light a bit wider than the 100m you were looking for but or a backcountry set up makes more sense for the wider width since you are looking for pow when you do it.

Can also vouch for the 98. They are light with just as low as a swing weight as a soul but they are way more stable and charge way harder than a soul. If you know how to drive a ski you will pretty much hate any ski from rossi. Even at a 190 e100 with a sheet of titanium in and I still out skied it in the nose. I'm a big hard charging bastard at 5'11 215lbs 3+ skier with a racing background.

Okay, how does this have to do with his skiing ability? Your just kinda being an asshole now... He was right when saying a pow ski is usually 115+ and your right by saying an all mointain ski 95-115 can ski mostly anything. So can we all just be friends?

they are a good ski it was my fault for not detuning them completely i detuned them a bit and them rode them on ice but obviously not enough. they are a little stiff for my taste but an all around great ski. the rocker makes them pretty playful even with the flex. And on3p is a good company they were really nice about the whole thing. They offered to try and fix them for free or if they couldnt be fixed we might be able to work out a deal on some new ones. I would recommend them if you were looking to buy them

Hard to vouch for their durability when this happened to me but it was my fault, the bases are holding up really well and the edges arent bad except where they cracked. Im sure if this hadnt happened to me i would still be able to ride them next year. like i said there a good company and everyone else likes em. Im not mad my experience wasnt the best but thats only cause i fucked up so its kinda of an unfair review of their durability. If you do order them ask them to detune them under foot for you. if you do this i have no doubt you will be happy with them.

Actually there's three and the base and edge is separating from the rest of the ski so yeah asshole I would say there pretty unrideable you don't have to get on this website and be an asshole. If your going to argue this then fuck off, my original question was about powder skis and your turning it into some stupid argument about on3ps durability and me trying to scam them. I don't appreciate it so like I said fuck off

No, you fuck off. You tried to warranty skis from a relatively small company after you hit rails by claiming you didn't hit rails on them. Do you think that replacing a $600 or whatever pair of skis because some fucking beater lied to them doesn't hurt them as a company? I assume you don't care because you're a selfish fuck, and after you got snapped you just changed your name and carried on like it never happened. So I'm going to get on this website and be an asshole and remind you about it repeatedly because you're clearly a bit of a turd.

I've told the company that i hit rails on the skis and there's no promises that there gonna warranty them all they said was that they would take a look at them and see if they could fix them. You can see my emails with them ass hole I've explained every email. The only reason I said I didn't hit rails with them in that one thread was to see if it was possible for the edge to come away from the ski without hitting them. In every other thread I've stated that I hit rails with them. So fuck you i haven't done anything wrong and your just some low life with nothing better to do than harass a fifteen year old kid on a ski forum

What actions exactly. I haven't received new skis. I've talked to the guys at on3p and there gonna look at the skis. Because I post an article on newschoolers that makes me a rat bag? Your the one that doesn't make any sense

You lied about their skis and you didn't even have a half-way good reason for doing so, other than presumably your own selfishness.

That's $600 right there. You may as well go to their factory and kick Scott Andrus in the balls while you're at it.

Go look at all of my recent posts regarding on3p I've said nothing negative about them and have told people they build a good ski. I've also said that I didn't detune them properly and that the edges breaking was probably my fault. I've talked them up more than anything and have recommended them to numerous people so before you accuse me of dissing their company why don't you do some research

I tried out Soul 7s while in Utah this weekend. They were so sick. We had fresh snow, and they rode it super nicely. Would recommend after one day of use.

I love the sin and soul 7s they both hold an edge like no other. They are very aggressive sksi but not too playful they just charge. if you want something more playful go with the line blend (my weapon of choice for most days) or on3p kartel (have heard great things about them and are going to be my next pair of sticks).
