Does Center mounting make a difference?

I am wondering if center mounting skis makes a difference when skiing rails or just skiing in general. Because I am debating on re-mounting my skis.

i was in ur position. my skis were mounted a little back and i was considering remounting, but to be completely honest i dont think it matters. iv got chronics mounted back and there all good :)

This. Symmetrical skis should be center mounted. For non-symmetrical, it depends because mounting center might not be in agreement with the sidecut. Then again, I can't see one or two centimeters making a huge difference.

Personally, I love skiing my center-mounted symmetrical Volkl steps.

it makes a huge difference when in the park, your not gonna have a fun time in their with non center mounted skis...

Lmao you idiot. Karl rides his kartels at -2 and is better than any of us at rails or anything in the park.So like I said before, it depends on the skis.

all this is true, center makes it easier to balance on rails but you are probably not going to notice a difference when skiing. Plus most park skis if they are not symmetrical the recommended mounting point isn't to far back from center.

if you are a competent skier and not dickin around spinning or jibbin boxes on 800 ft of vert
you best belive movin your mount point 2cm is gonna affect how most skis ski
whether or not you quantify that as "Game Changing" is debatable
