what are the differences between these skis they both have the same flex and a lot of rocker. I know the kartels are wider but other than that they seem to be the same ski. Oh and I do know the kartels are heavier but that's to be expected since there a wider ski

The FRs are lighter, softer, symmetrical, and have a shorter turning radius, basically they are a pure park ski. Designed to hit rails, small-medium/large jumps, be forgiving and responsive. They do carve pretty well, but not as well as an asymmetrical ski.
The Kartel 98 is stiffer, directional, and has a longer turning radius. It's a park ski that can hit all mountain really well, or for someone who prefers a wider park ski.
The Kartel 106 is similar to the 98, but wider. Best way to choose between the two is if you're a park skier that likes to ski all-mountain go with the 98, if you're an all-mountain skier that likes to take some park laps from time to time go 106.
Deciding between the Kartel series and the FRs is a bit harder. If you're looking to a million switch-ups on a flat rail and 1170s off down rails (exageration is for humor, but you get the idea), you'll probably want FRs. If you're looking for slow/floaty spins, surface swaps and presses, then the Kartel is for you.
I already have the filthy riches im just looking for a new ski cause I got some edge cracks in them and the sidewalk is coming apart this is my fault as I didn't detune them correctly. Talked to on3p about it and they are willing to fix it for free. I just want a back up ski in the mean time and it's a tie between the moment vices and the kartels and I don't know what to pick i ski 65% rails and 35% jumps. Price is not that big of a deal as I work at a ski hill and all I do in the winter is ski

Is any ski with non symmetrical dimensions considered directional? I've always wondered this since recommended on Kartels are like -4 but Karl is the designer of them kind of and he lands switch and rides switch often and also rides them at -2. So could you explain that?

Not really, but I couldn't think of a better word at the time. You can still ride them switch just fine.

yeah i like the graphcs alot. people always come up to me and ask if i wrote on them with a sharpie like the dollar signs on them and stuff kinda look like it. haha i saw next years graphic and those to me look a lot cooler
