Nick Goepper trying to change how he's viewed?

Mostly based on the music, but also on some of the tricks he's doing. Overall I thought it was pretty sick, but it did not really feel like a Nick Goepper edit.

that was super sick skiing and i cant hate on it, but geopper has this persona about him that is just weird. the style of his skiing in that edit fit the music but like, everything else i know about geopper and have seen from geopper just makes this weird.

felt like kinda carl from shameless trying to deal crack with the black kids.

And if you think about it, kid is still a youngin. He is growing up, changing physically, emotionally, etc.
I'm 24 and in the past 5 years I have grown and changed more than in the first 20 years of my life. You can bet he will continue to evolve as a skier and person. We all do.

Blown away by this edit though. Definitely some "DAAYUUUMM" moments.

That was painful to watch not even because i think goepper is a fruitcake. The skiing was pretty sick but he's trying to be a thug now? Stick to the stock comp style, it always looks horrible when comp skiers try to act like 08 Henrik. You don't see bobby brown doing this shit do you?

Just to clarify, I wasn't hating on him at all. I thought the edit was insane, it's just interesting to see him ski in a much different way than a couple years ago

I'm stoked that a "competition" skier like goepper is willing to change in this direction. Keeps skiing from being aerials. Like what kept hip hop cool for a long time.

Do people really believe that "comp" skiers can't do stylish spins or something? People act as if he can't do a spin less than 900 or something, when in reality he can easily do "stylish" flat 5s or whatever. I'm sure that goes for any pro with a comp image. If they can do a nice dub 14 (or any dub fourteen) I'm sure they can do a nice flat 7.

People don't do a run of all stylish low degree spins cause they all can do it. Not that I'm a pro by any means, but I'd figure it's very easy for them. You'd get sick of seeing 10 guys flat seven japan a jump then tap the end of a rail all the same.

Remember pro free skiiers are just the kids who would have been really good at gymnastics in high school and got lucky to grow up somewhere cold. Yes they have large balls (and its very dangerous I feel like an asshole making this point) but the mountain is doing all the work and honestly might as well be doing the trapeese at cirque du soliel for all I care its not that hard to do inverted rotations or spin if you have the air time.


These cats can beat Bodie Miller in a fucking race if they wanna impress me cause honestly I bet Lindsay or Michaela could smoke most of the red names on here.

His filmer needs to work on framing a fuck ton. 80% of those shots id tell him to do it again cause I didn't get the shot. Also the editing was meh. But skiing was decent!

Who at the young age of 20 really knows themselves, their style, or their direction in life? Not many. Nick became a pro as essentially a little kid. He's going to keep developing style. He's still 20 fucking years old only. Comps are one thing, but how could you become so good to win comps without having almost every trick dialed? When you can pick and choose any trick you think you need to win, know how the judging works, thats impressive. I don't think he's trying to fit in, why would he care. He's trying to have fun and be a kid, and its rad and he has style, this edit proved it.

i think he is kind of trying to change the way he appears but what i dont understand is why NS seems to be defending him so much now. look in this thread, every negative comment about goepper is downvoted into hell but the positive ones arent. i thought NS didnt particularly like goepper, yet people are getting mad when someone talks shit about him? i personally am indifferent towards him. i think hes a good skier but i think this edit was trying a little too hard, i almost cringed at the drifting parts. not hating or anything, its just my opinion.

its like having your own opinion isnt allowed. either youre a cunt who hates him or youre on the bandwagon of some new nick goepper.
