soHarshTime management is key. Learn how to manage your time now it will help you in the future. Before I study I always have a "what do I need to get done by the end of this session" list, and I usually don't stop until I get it done. In class work on your note taking skills and the ability to pick out key points from the specific lesson ( very useful in university). For sciences I would say try to understand the concepts rather than memorizing things since you will be able to apply these concepts when given different questions during exams. Other than that I would say be willing to look for help, whether that is from your teachers or your peers. There are also some very smart people on NS so don't be hesitant to ask.
