kyleisaskierI'm kind of in the same position as you, one thing I can tell you is that it's wayyyyyy different once you have skis on. the rotation is harder to get around and its more technical than you think. But if youre feeling it then yeah go for it on a park jump, just throw it harder than you think you need to and load up the tails as you lean back.

A bunch of people posted different stuff in there for different questions.
Personally I think park jumps are underrated. I've seen people go "Errrmahgerrrd park jumps nooooo" then go throw it off the most jenky piece of shit booter they built in the powder.
Pow landings are great but unless you have real amounts of powder I feel quality of jump matters most. Most people come pretty close to landing first try. IF you understand the concept of a backflip and can handle commitment, park jumps aren't bad at all.
Hips and windlips are great because you have all the tranny of a big jump without the speed on the landing. Getting about 4 or 5 feet of air out of one of those is perfect.
cb27.I want to try a backflip this weekend, and I am confident that i will be able to get it around(I can double on tramp), but I've never tried one onto pow or a bag jump or anything. Should I just do it on a park jump this weekend, or just wait until I have a pow jump or a bag available?
