Holzsteezy*el nino year is what I've been told
Huck_NorrisActually no, since we in the east don't need much to be skiable and we are ready with snowmaking etc. should we hit a dry year.
The west isn't ready for this shit and they need way more to be skiable at all. They're straight up closing resorts. That is nothing like the EC. Stahp it OP. You're being a dick.

californiagrownNope. Its been a nuetral or mild el nino. The issue is an unbreakable ridge of high pressure that only rarely let's a storm under it, and that stormtrack is the infamous PE. Its been in place the last 18 months.
Winters like this are natural disasters out here. Its really not a good thing.
DingoSeanYou might be getting snow, east coast, but your food's about to be mighty fucking expensive...
WillskiforfreeIt really is awful.. Park city's super park hasn't even opened and the only reason it will open is because of the Grand Prix.. They didn't even make the snow for the jumps, they had to bring it over from another part of the mountain
taj.we just got 2+ feet in CO over the weekend...

CrutchKiller2 feet in two months
taj.Tru and ya missed it mark
Yeah the total snowfall has been shit compared to recent years but it's been aight in comparison to what we normally experienced in NH. Kind of wish I had been in Boston getting it the past few weeks though
CrutchKillerTruu.
Op you realize that 60+% of the people that you talk to out west are transplants from the east? Everyone knows how shitty the average east coast snow count is, making the west that much more appealing.
FlyingnuggetVibes to the west coast homies. Hope we all get a killer season in 2016.
kemosabeit can still happen, i have hope
Huck_NorrisAh, the old adage. Yep. Sucks here every year but this one. Better move out west! Yep, nothing to ski here but ice and railzzzzz maaaaaan.
Lol
FlowbearAnd it is mainly just BC that's having shit conditions everywhere south and east of us is having great seasons as far as I know.

LampardMontana's having the shittiest winter on record, but it's still about 10 fold better than any good season I have ever had growing up out east.

nate4500Yeah this is the worst winter I've ever seen in the west. The resort I am a instructor at closed.

K-Dot.Wait really? I guess that makes sense, those jumps popped up really quickly
californiagrownHaha haha haha. WHAAAAAT?
UglyboyYeah I was getting face shots all day at Washington today.
DingoSeanLol. Are you kidding me? Places in Washington State, Oregon, and California are all closed. BC might be having it bad, but so is everyone else down the western coast.
