So I was in the glades at Killington yesterday and one of my skis popped off while making a turn. After retrieving my ski I saw that my binding was in a very strange position. Turns out the heel piece housing was shattered and the heel was stuck in the vertical position. The techs replaced the piece for free but said that they had never seen anything like it yet this is the second time this has happened to me this season. I don't know if I can trust Marker Griffons anymore. The tech said it may have been caused by "rider error" which I don't understand how I could do this. I'm 6'1" 220lbs and I'm starting to think that these bindings are not for me. They came mounted on the skis I bought last year and I didn't think to question it because I have no clue about ski bindings myself. Has this happened to anyone else?
