If you are pushing it, make sure a friend is watching, in case you get hurt. Or if your friend is pushing it, make sure to keep an eye on them.
A friend launched the fingers at Squaw on Friday and wound up burried in the deep pow in the landing. He suffocated to death while people looked on and tried to get to him. Fortunately, ski patrol was able to revive him when they finally got to him. But it was nearly fatal and that can be prevented with quick response from a friend. Some ski deaths that I know of could have been prevented if a buddy was close by with an eye on the action. Hopefully this post helps save someone.
