Kink Rails

I want to hit a DFD at my home mountain but not sure or comfortable on how to hit it. Am I supposed to shift my weight? My friend said to step over the kink? +k to whoever helps

Don't even think about it. Just approach the rail as you would a normal down and just hit it. Your body intrinsic functions will kick in and you'll grease it.

Ok, probably not the first time. You'll probably slide out or come off early. But practice makes perfect.

look at the very end of the rail and bend your knees. if you can hit a down rail you can hit a dfd

Ya I would say just bend them knees and asorb them kinks. Go for it as the worst will happen is you will fall off to the side or fall on your butt. Be confident and have fun!

Don't shift your weight, just keep your knees slightly bent to absorb the kinks and let it ride. Best thing to do is tell yourself it's just a down rail and it'll come naturally.

Ya stepping over is a horrible idea, make sure you tell your friend he should not do that or he will fall.

just absorb the kink with your legs. and when you get on for the first time try to look or aim farther down. otherwise it has a tenancy to throw you off at the first kink

I'd say just relax when you're on the rail. Just make sure the rail you're doing it on is pretty mellow, most park dfds are, but don't touch it if the kinks are super steep (like over 25 degrees which doesn't sound like a lot but it is), most park dfds are under 15 though.

I almost hit my first urban dfd today but the bungee was frozen because I left it in my car and the thing was fricken dead.
